What is Wordle?

Wordle is a Web 2.0 tool that can be used to make word clouds. By adding any text to the given box, the site automatically generates a word cloud- making the most common words the most noticeable.  Wordle also allows for more creativity by allowing the user to customize their Wordle by changing the layout, colors, and even the font.  Once completed, a Wordle can be printed, saved in the public gallery for all to see, or pasted into a blog; once created, a Wordle can be used however you see fit! The endless creative possibilities of Wordle can be used in the classroom for unique presentations, at the office or home just for fun!
