Dance in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K - 3rd Grade)

Evaluation

20101201034645jezaL.jpg

For this subject matter, it is aimed at teachers, so of course you won't be graded in the 'normal' sense. However, it is good to evaluate yourself and see where you stand.

Evaluation is based upon:
  • Student grade improvement
  • Student participation
  • Student attitude and overall feelings about school
  • Teacher comfort with incorporating dance
  • Teacher overall satisfaction
It is important to remember that this should not all be placed upon the students, it is you as the educator who is implymenting this. This is why there are a couple of teacher catagories. Teacher satisfaction can be considered bonus points. Give yourself 1 point if you feel satisfied with what you did but know you can do more. Give yourself 2 points if you feel satisfied with what you did and know you made a difference, and they made a difference for themselves. Grade yourself on the same scale you would your students for whether you deserve an A, B, C, D, or F.
