#### Evaluation

Rubric can be seen as a communication tool between teacher and students. This rubric will help create transparency in grading for students to see what their grades are.

Creativity 5 points A variety of colours. were used and each piece of furniture could be identified easily. Only some of the furniture could be identified as there was not many different colours. The same colour was used for more than one piece of furniture. Only one colour was used for all the pieces furniture.
Collaboration 3 points All the students played a designated role in the task given. Majority of the students played their part in completing the task. At least half of the group played their part in completing the task. A few students work while the others piggy backed.
Arrangement of Objects on Grid 6 points Completed living room has all the furniture and no piece was hanging outside the designated area. Completed living room has all the furniture but one piece was hanging outside the designated area. Completed living room has all the furniture but more than one piece of furniture was hanging outside the designated area. Completed living room had pieces of furniture hanging outside the designated area.
Calculation of Area 6 points Area of the floor of the living room, the area taken up by the pieces of furniture and the area that is left unoccupied by furniture were calculated accurately. Area of the floor of the living room, the area taken up by the pieces of furniture and the area that is left unoccupied by furniture had 1 incorrect calculation. Area of the floor of the living room, the area taken up by the pieces of furniture and the area that is left unoccupied by furniture had 2 incorrect calculation. Area of the floor of the living room, the area taken up by the pieces of furniture and the area that is left unoccupied by furniture were calculated incorrectly.
