Question

Audio files in powerpoint
I have developed a WebQuest and the primary teaching tool is in the form of narrated presentations in powerpoint. About half the users say that the audio files won't run. This includes PC's and iPads. It also didn't run on an Android, but I'm not worried about that. The PC thing is a big deal though. Any suggestions for me?
Thanks for your help!

Please remember that when you embed an audio file on a powerpoint, sound file is still stored outside of the powerpoint. You are simply linking the sound file in your powerpoint. When your students download your powerpoint, the sound file is probably not included.
The audio files were embedded using the "Insert- Record audio" function within powerpoint. Can you tell me where I might look for the files in order to save them in the same area as the powerpoints? Since they weren't exte
al files I don't know where else they could be located other than the powerpoint itself. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure where your sound file is located on your computer since we have no access to your computer. However, there is a fine instructional tutorial at the link below which will help you identify the issue you are having. http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/powerpoint-help/add-and-play-sounds-in-a-presentation-HA001230305.aspx
Thanks very much. It tu
ed out to be an incompatibility with the earlier version of PowerPoint.
