Welcome: Grade 9 Biology, Ecology Unit Lesson #5: Science Experience Outside the Classroom, Mountsberg Conservation Area
Description: This webquest outlines the plans and procedures for a field trip to Mountsberg Conservation Area in Campbellville, Ontario. The field trip will take one day; students will arrive at school for the regular start of period 1 at 8:10 am. Students will meet in the science classroom at the beginning of period 1 for attendance, school-wide announcements and then announcements pertaining to the trip before boarding the bus at 8:30 am. The bus will return to the school for 2:30 in the afternoon so students can take their regular mode of transportation home from school. The following lesson plan was created by Lara Bourke. The post-activity laboratory activity (Owl Pellet Dissection) was adapted from Laboratory Techniques and Experimental Design (1998, see 'Introduction' tab for full reference).
