Welcome: Art and Visual Literacy
Description: Visual literacy is the ability to interpret, negotiate, and make meaning from information presented in the form of an image. By learning the traditional process by which an artwork is "read", i.e., through description, analysis, interpretation, and judgment, the students will be able to critically view art and thereby become more knowledgeable in their own artistic practice.
