Welcome: America in World War I: What Do You Need To Know?
Description: This will be a series of articles and videos showing the entering and involvement of The United States in world War I. How America's involvement changed the tides of war but also shifted the Focus of the American people. This assignment will be used to activate your Prior Knowledge of World War I, but instead through American eyes. We have looked through this time in history through many European countries, but we will now see how American Involvement was the means to the end, the war that was supposed to end all wars. From this assignment we will then move into, the peace conferences, and then finally probable causes that led World War I, to cause events into World War II. In Standard with Common core 9-12 Benchmark 1-B. United States: analyze and evaluate the impact of major eras, events and individuals in United States history since the civil war and reconstruction: 3. Analyze the United States’ expanding role in the world during the late 19th and 20th centuries, to include: c. events that led to the United States’ involvement in World War I; United States’ rationale for entry into World War I and impact on military process, public opinion and policy.
