Description:
This lesson was designed as part of a collaboration of three Ma Program students in Language, Literature and Digital Means in Education of the University of Aristotle in Thessaloniki, namely Dimitra Giannouplaki, Sophia Nikopakopoulou and Stavroula Kalpakidou. More specifically it was prepared and adjusted, by Stavroula Kalpakidou, as a 10 min microteaching performance (on her part) presented on Saturday 16th June, in 2018 , as a part of a total of 30 min microteaching co-presented by the rest of the MA students, as a part from a total of a 3 hour C2 level class for the course "Literature in Education " EDU 501C, instructed by Dr Tatiani Rapatzikou and Dr Despoina Feleki.
The Theme is Harper Lee's Southern Gothic Novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" set in Alabama in the 1930's. Over the course of the novel topics like segregation, growing up, racism, discrimination, prejudice , courage, compassion and empathy are raised in the most conspicuous ways.
