Welcome: WWI - A War of Many Firsts
Description: You will take up the role of a modern historian examining the first uses of a number of types of weaponry and technology during World War One. Many new types of technology and weaponry saw their first use during WWI, you will be asked to research 2 of the following; Tanks, Chemical Warfare, Airplanes, Machine guns, Artillery, Barbed Wire, Steel Helmets, Flamethrowers, the interrupter gear, Submarines, and depth charges. Then you will describe what each item the researched is, what it was used for, who/what nation invented it, the difference it made on the battlefield, the consequences it had in regards to warfare overall and how it influenced future technology/warfare. Use the information you have gathered from the following sites, and others you have found on your own, to put together a PowerPoint Presentation with pictures about the two things they researched to present for the class.
