Welcome: How is a Pop Song Created?
Description: This WebQuest asks students to research, analyze, and present general steps taken in the creation of a pop or other modern genre song. Students will pretend to be music journalists who have been asked by an up-and-coming musician's magazine/blog to start their series of songwriting articles, beginning with a starting article on how to create a song from scratch. They will use audio, video, and written resources in their research and present an article or "listicle" that outlines and explains common steps to create a song, what order to perform them in, and why each step is important.
