Description: In this unit, students learn about various plants, their parts, their life cycles, and the importance of bees in plant reproduction. Students will be introduced to the life of a bee and learn the importance bees have in our community. Students will learn about life in the hive, what plants are important to local Central Florida bees, what you can do with bee products. Students will see what organizations are doing to bring awareness about bees and their importance to our community. Students will answer the question; Why do we need bees and then will develop a plan to spread the word using technology and media tools. What has happened to the habitat where bees live? What does this mean for the bee, the hive and the habitat they live in, and what would the loss of bees be to our community’s? Let's Get Started... Go to the Introduction folder on the left.
