Description: Geometry does not only apply in mathematics. The world around us is a collection of geometric shapes of different sizes and forms. Geometry plays a major role in different domains such as art and architecture. This web quest has been designed for 9-12th grade students who are taking geometry classes. Students will explore the role of geometry in architectural design. They will make use of basic geometric figures like circles, rectangles, cylinders and cones to design a building using Autocad 3d modeling.
