Description: The students will read short story: Zebra and the linked section in Reading Informational Text: The Legacy of the Vietnam War during class. Students will complete a series of tasks throughout the reading where they will learn the idea of characters and plots, identifying, analyzing and evaluating them. Meanwhile, they will learn the reading strategy of Monitor and try to find motivations of character while reading story and text. Lastly, they need to finish two additional reading materials by using the new reading strategy and recognizing characters and plots, comprising a folder with all information from assignments to show comprehension of reading.
