A rite of passage is a ritual event that marks persons transition from one status to the next. Milestones include from birth, coming of age, marriage and death. For Jewish boys they must undergo the Brit Milah ceremony at eight days old.The Brit Milah ceremony is very important to the Jewish faith because it was a sign of the covenant that God made between Abraham and his descendants.
