Welcome: Scent: The Smell of Perfume: A Story of a Murderer
Description: This WebQuest covers background information on the function of scent and how it is used by Patrick Suskind in the novel Perfume: A Story of a Murderer. The WebQuest can be used after the novel unit has begun (suggested chapter 10) to assist students in a making a connection between scent and perception, as well as gain a deeper understanding of the function of scent knowledge for the protagonist. It also allows student to make a Theory of Knowledge connection for IB 11th graders prior to completing the Part 1 works in translation IBO external assessment for Paper assignment 1. This webquest is intended for grades 11-12.
