A Catholic Sixth Grader's Introduction to World Hunger
Description:
This is a journey toward a broad understanding of the issues underlying world hunger, its causes and effects. After research, students are expected to brainstorm on possible solutions and present their ideas to fellow students. This webquest is aimed at achieving California state standards in Social Studies and includes a Catholic perspective. The final products will include completed worksheets, student observations and small group discussion. Students will gain an insight into humanity's connectedness, an overview of world geography and a general sense of the effects of politics on the human condition.
