This web page has been designed to coincide with the NSW Department of Education Syllabus for HSIE. 

Your students will achieve the following HSIE outcome when using this web quest:
ENS3.5
Demonstrates an understanding of the interconnectedness between Australia and global environments and how individuals and groups can act in an ecologically responsible manner. 
  • Explains the effects of human changes on an environment, evaluating the positive and negative aspects of these changes
  • Explains the effects of natural changes on the environment
  • Participates in the maintenance or improvement of an environment

The web quest also supports Bloom's Taxonomy.
It covers the following aspects:
  • Knowledge/Remembering- listing things they remember from the youtube clip
  • Applying- performing an experiment
  • Creating- writing a letter/ making a power point presentation
