Focus:
This WebQuest focuses on different cultural aspects of the 1950s.

Objectives/Goals:
The objective is for students to explore and think about the culture of the 1950s on their own.

• Students will learn about the music, television, and advertising of the 50s.
• Students will explore the emergence of the suburbs and suburban life.
  
• Students will explore fashion of the 1950s.
  
• Students will learn about the Beat movement.
  

Resources:
Prerequisite Skills: Background on the 1950s and postwar America.
Time Required: 1 class period (approximately 60 minutes).
Technology Needs/Materials Needed: Computers with internet access and teacher provided worksheet (available for download on the process page).
