This lesson was developed in a group of six (6), in response to an Information
Communication Technology assignment in the area of Geography. Allowing students
to become familiar with the aspects of deforestation, the effects and what can
be done to preserve it for future generations through active research.



During this lesson, students will research to learn the concepts, benefits
of forest, cause of deforestation and the effects. Then, students will use
interpersonal learning through small group interactions and discussions. 
The discussions facilitate the preparation of writing a personal journal from
the perspective of another person. 



Learners:



This webquest is created for the 9-11 grade Social Studies students and it
involve geographical aspects to a large extent. This lesson should be preceded
by some form of activity to assess, compare and enhance their environmental
knowledge. The use of a KWL chart would stimulate brainstorming and critical
thinking.
