If I Were President...

Focus: This web quest was designed for 2nd grade students as a writing project after completing some research on the President's job and responsibilities. 

Objectives/Goals: The student will write a story about what it would be like if he or she were President of the United States.  The student will visit several websites to learn about the job responsibilities of the President, complete a "day in the life of" activity, listen to audio clips from past Presidents and learn about their secrets and take a virtual tour of the White House.

Prerequisite skills: Teacher will need to have completed Writing Workshop with the students so they understand the writing process.  Students will need to know how to navigate through a website and download a file.  

Technology: Each student will need access to a computer with an attached printer.
