I chose Randy Pausch for a Time Management lesson because I feel he did an excellent job on connecting time management, childhood dreams, making good choices, and turning brick walls into a positive aspect versus a negative one.
As AVID students I want them to understand that reaching goals is not an easy task and that they can not give up when things do not go the right way the first time.
To be successful is more than just one chapter: Time Management or Organization, it is a series of several components that work together that drives a person to strive for their passions and not settle for anything less then what they love or respect most in life.
Randy followed his dreams and he lived his life to the fullest to the very end. This is an excellent combination of everything AVID stands for: Advancement Via Individual Determination.
