Here is a timetable that seems workable for a 6-8th grade classroom: Steps 1-4 should take 1 class period
Steps 5-6 should take 3 to 4 days in class for research
Step 7 should take 1 day in class for discussion
Step 8 should be done in and out of class for about 2 days total
Steps 9-10 should take 1 class period
Steps 11-12 should be done at home and during 1 class period
Step 13 should take 1 or two class periods
Step 14 should take 1 class period
Steps 15-16 should be one class period for oral presentations and handing in final packets Obivously, it is up to the teacher how long to take for each step. With this schedule the WebQuest should take no longer than 2 weeks. PDE Standards Met by this WebQuest:
