This Web quest was designed to help students at the grade seven level who have been placed in the Literacy Studies program enhance their comprehension skills. This means that these students are not fully functioning at their maximum potential at the grade seven level when compared to their peers who have not been placed in the Literacy Studies program. The main focus of the Literacy Tour was to help these students polish their cause and effect comprehension skill.
Throughout the quest, guidance has been provided for students to follow. The quest has also been enhanced with various videos and worksheets posted on different websites which should help students polish their understanding on cause and effect relationships. This will not only aid students' comprehension skills but will also see them becoming proficient at properly using technology to improve their education.
The website is not solely for students as classroom teachers are expected to facilitate their students as they meander through the tasks posted. Teacher's must also ensure that students' work are evaluated in a timely manner and appropriate feedback given for the students to assess their learning of the particular concept.
