Growing up wild

Like any lesson, if you prepare and have things ready the lesson will be productive. Please don't wait until the last minute to prepare your materials. Assure all permission slips are signed and ready to go for the field trip (Nature walk) let the children know what they will be looking at on the nature walk. Have the centers ready in advance. Teachers, please try to stay away from dittos I do not believe they are developmentally appropriate for children. Children learn from hands-on experiences. Assure there is plenty of materials available in centers for every student and do not ever tell a student he can not do the same activity twice. Children learn through play, make sure the drama is set up with really awesome hands-on interactive activities.
