Winnipeg Traffic Signs

This WebQuest is about learning and identifying different street signs in Winnipeg. It has students in groups of two learn 10 different signs, and teach their learning to the rest of the class. Each group should be able to present their signs via a PowerPoint presentation in approximately 5 minutes.

Standards

This is designed for new bus operators at Winnipeg Transit to learn the different traffic signs of the city.

Credits

This is my first WebQuest. I made it as part of a project I'm working on in a course I'm taking at Red River College on teaching adults. I'm not sure if WebQuests will be a useful platform for teaching in my area, I teach new bus operators at Winnipeg Transit. This very basic WebQuest I made took me over 4 hours to complete! I do have a much better understanding of what WebQuests are, and I'd give credit to my Advanced Instructional Methods teacher for that, and will continue to think of ways I might incorporate this platform into my teaching in the future.
