WebQuest

Pete the Cat

Teacher Page

This webQuest should take about 30 minutes depending on the students' strengths and weaknesses. Students will first watch the digital story of Pete the Cat I love my white shoes. Then students are to color the coloring sheet according to the colors listed on each shoe. Students are to match the colors individually without help from other students. Testing dividers may come in handy with this assignment. The students are being graded on their ability to color in the lines and match the colors correctly with the words, purple, red, brown, blue, yellow, green, black, and orange.

Standards

This webQuest is designed to help teachers and parents see where the student is on their learning curve. This is a great begging activity to see how well students are learning their colors and how well they pay attention. This is a great large group center or it can even be used on an ipad as an individual center. This center has it all reading, art, music, matching and listening skills. This is a great way to detect early sign of learning disabilities and also a great interactive way to show the students a fun way to learn.

Credits

I would like to think my parents and students for making this webQuest a success. Student worked hard in and out of the classroom to learn the material. Parents stepped up outside the classroom and worked with the students to prepare them for a greater learning experience. This was a fun activity that I loved because the student got lost in having fun. They forgot they were learning and just had fun learning.
