Class time for this project should be 1 - 2 weeks. Designed for grades 9-12. Primary Objectives: - Helping to meet the New Mexico Grades 9-12 Science Standards regarding Benchmark III understanding the characteristics, structures and functions of cells.
- Helping to meet the New Mexico Grades 9-12 Science Standards regarding Benchmark II, Standard 6 understanding the principals of mitosis.
Secondary Objectives: - Allow students to research a topic for both general and specific information, using a variety of media.
- Allow students the opportunity to use technology, in this case power point, for an oral presentation.
- Allow students to work both individually and collaboratively to achieve a common purpose.
