Focus:

 

This webquest allows the student to research and learn more about Stop-Motion animation. The students are then to create their own storyboards and write a short story to go along with their sketches.

 

Objectives:

 

Before writing their own story the students should review the writing process(prewriting, rough draft, editing, revising, and final product) this will make it easier to create a clear and focused story and storyboard.

 

Students will gain information about the history of stop-motion animation.

 

Students will understand the process of stop-motion animation.

 

Students will view different types of animation.

 

After researching stop-motion animation students will answer questions and independently develop a 20 frame storyboard.

Time required: 2-3 weeks

Computer/Internet access/Printer

Downloaded KWL chart/Storyboard Templete

Pencils/Markers(for sketching)
