Sustainable Agriculture

CLASS TIME: 6 Weeks

This webquest is designed for high school students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in an agricultural education or science related course.

Its primary objectives are:

1. To develop teamwork and collaboration skills.

2. To develop communication, speaking and writing skills.

3. To develop an understanding of environment conservation.

4. To develop an appreciation for our soils, agricultural practices and benefits of sustainable agriculture.

STANDARDS MET

Human-Environmental Interactions

The student understands the effects of interactions between human and physical systems
The student identifies ways in which human activities are impacted by the physical environment (agricultural activities, jobs, resource availability, etc.)

Human Systems

The student understands how economic, cultural, and social processes interact to shape patterns of human populations, interdependence, cooperation, etc.
