Focus:
This exercise is ideal for students who have opted for the Art subject. Mainly, this exercise has been designed to help students to start appreciating Artists and their works of art.

Objectives/Goals:

Ideally we would recommend starting this project after you have introduced the development of art from Impressionism to Expressionism. This will lead your students to understand and appreciate the change in the artists' approach to art.

Resources:

Prerequisite Skills: Confidence level with the use of Internet and the knowledge about the beginning of the modern art period.

Time Required: 2 double practical sessions and 1 session for presentation day.
Although students will be working in groups, it is advisable to allocate a computer for each student as tasks 1 to 3 need to be done separately and only task 4 should be done as a group

Although a good number of websites have been suggested in this WebQuest the students are still encouraged to search and browse other websites that might enrich their artistic inspiration. This task will surely help them to increase their love for art.

Personal Comments:

While planning activities for this WebQuest, we kept in mind the importance of students' active involvement in their learning. They are encouraged to visit Art Museums even virtually and to work collaboratively in a group.
