This is an interesting and fun web-based learning  experience for 4th grade.

Background on the WebQuest: This webQuest was created for fourth grade students in regards to their social studies class. This lesson was used for expanding the knowledge in regards to American history and the Western Expansion. Students will be able to learn about the interesting fact during the Lewis and Clark's Expedition, as well as the discoveries made by them. An expansion of this theme can be made by taking a trip to a historical museum were students can actually experience the learning in a more vivid way.

Standards

4.2.1 Explain how early explorations affected the expansion of boundaries and development in the United States.

Credits

Thanks to my mentor teacher Mrs. Susan Derstine. She has been truly a great inspiration in this social studies class. I have enjoyed her lectures, lessons and my time observing her class.
Underneath this section is the attachment of the website that I used for all my materials regarding the Lesson.

Other

Modification can be made to this WebQuest in order to accommodate all students' needs.
Students should have a proper introduction of the theme prior to starting the WebQuest. They must know about the Louisiana purchased and the interest of Thomas Jefferson in finding new possibilities for trades. Students should have a decent amount of time in order to complete the assignment. I would say about 65 minutes or it could be expanded into several days.
