My Wonderful Body

This lesson was developed from the Revised Grade 1-3 Curriculum for Grade Two students to help them to feel more

comfortable talking about the different parts of their body and their functions. It should take seven days to complete including the weekends.

Standards

By completing this lesson, students should display understanding of how important it is to know their body parts and the function of each. The students should also be able to gain confidence in talking about their body parts and the functions without feeling that certain parts are nasty or dirty.

The lesson was an anchored in Grade Two Integrated Studies Class and involves Science, Visual Art, Drama and Language Arts,through discussion, outlining and labeling of the body, writing reports, and record in their journals.

This web quest could also be used for Grade One students since they too do the same topic "My Body."
