  • This webquest is about the building of a peaceful environment through the facing of discrimination carried out by students' ideas to solve the problem.

  • According to your students English level, this lesson can be completed in 90 minutes of direct work and 30 minutes of indirect work or in 120 minutes of direct work and 60 minutes of indirect work.

  • Instructions and advises:

  1. Make sure the discrimination cases are appropiate for them in terms of relevance. Ask them to choose one discrimination case they could have a solving ideas.
  2. Take into account the size of your group and make decisions about how many students are in each group.
  3. Be sure of how familiarized the students are with the APA norms before starting the lesson and make a presentation about it if need be.


Standards

1. Stimulate critical thinking in students of tenth grade in a public school in Bogot�.
2. Make and observation of discrimination.
3. Find out in which ways discrimination affects the society.
4. Provide the students with opportunities to be problem-solvers.
5. Encourage students to suggest solutions working in teams.
