Water, Water Everywhere

I am trying to make learning the water cycle fun and interesting.

 

The target grade for this lesson is 3-4 grade.  I would set up groups of three and have them work together to complete the lesson. 

 

Before we start this lesson, a couple of days beforehand, I would do the experiment using salt water in a bowl, plastic wrap, a weight, and another small bowl to catch the runoff.  That way they could see the water evaporate and the salt remain in the big bowl. 

 

I planned this lesson so that the students could work cooperatively and find the results on their own.
