Using the topic of Child Labor, this WebQuest is designed to teach seventh graders how to research a topic, identify author's claims and evidence, paraphrase, and collaborate in order to give a meaningful PowerPoint presentation.  It is very structured in order to provide universal access to all levels of learners.  Enrichment could be provided to advanced learners by having them generate their own questions on the topic and research web sites that may not be listed in the process section of this WebQuest.  It will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.  More advanced students may be able to complete this earlier.  Mini lessons could be given on citing evidence using MLA style and paraphrasing.
