Physics and Roller Coasters

This activity is designed to take 5-10 blocks.  Students should be familiar with Newton's Laws, free body diagrams, and circular motion before the lesson.  The emphasis of the lesson is on learning how the conservation of energy can be used to find the velocity at different locations on an ideal roller coaster.  The rest of the webquest is using this concept in a way which reinforces the idea that basic physics is all around us!
