Social Studies Benchmark: Charting the Course

This Web Quest is about specific content on historical events from the American history strand, important people from the Renaissance era from the World history strand, responsibilities and roles of citizenship from the Civics/Government strand, environment/society from the Geography strand, and foundations of economics from the Economics strand.


This Web Quest can be used with students in 6th grade.  This Web Quest was designed for each task section to be completed in 1-2 days depending on the amount of instructional time allotted for the social studies content area. 

Standards

The standards reflected in this Web Quest came from Arizona Social Studies standards for sixth grade and reflect standards american history: Concept 1 P.O 7, World History: Concept 4 P.O 2, Civics/Government: Concept 4 P.O. 1, Geography: Concept 5 P.O. 4, and Economics: Concept 1 P.O. 4
