�Vamos a Costa Rica!

Students will begin the Webquest in a lab during class.  They will be expected to visit the links as homework during a week's period.  They will have about 30 minutes in a second class period to meet with their group members and make initial plans for presentation.  This will be followed by additional at home preparation of visuals (PowerPoint, poster, handout). More class time will be given prior to presentation.

Standards

Level 2 - Modern Language
Communication: Create oral and written presentations in the target language about a variety of topics using familiar and newly acquired vocabulary words and phrases (This project will use present tense since it is being done early in year, prior to students' developing mastery of past tenses).
Connections: Students will gain knowledge of geography, science (flora and fauna, volcanoes), and history as they explore Costa Rica.
Culture: Students will sense how geography affects life in Costa Rica; they will learn about customs and daily life as well as what the country offers to those who vacation there.

I found this website (zunal.com) while searching for ideas for my classroom on the Internet. I decided to join and create my own webquest. I found it to be fairly easy (user-friendly site!). I hope others will find my webquest to be useful to their students.
