This webquest is geared for about 5 days of work time in the classroom. With 4 tasks it allows approximately one day per task and an extra day in case a kid gets sick or just needs some time. I think the most important piece of this webquest is to really reinforce to the kids autonomy and being an explorer on their own. This really is easy with some groups and with the challenge of others you may not be able to do with webquest without alot of instruction on properly seeking out information. I also advise you to teach the kids how to create an assessment guide because if it is their first time doing it it might take a class period in itself to create assessment guidelines. |
