This WebQuest is designed to be used in an intermediate adult ESL/EFL class, and it can be assigned to individual students or to groups. To use the site as presented, you will need to set up a Facebook Group where your students can post their discussion and Modal Quiz Spreadsheet. (For information on how to set up the group, visit www.facebook.com.) One possible extension is to create a final quiz using questions from your students (edited as necessary) and have the students take the quiz. If you do this, you should probably have backup questions prepared. Also, unless you lock the students out of the Facebook Group before they take the consolidated quiz, they will be able to see the questions and answers in the Modal Spreadsheets of their classmates, in which case the final quiz will serve more as practice than as a true assessment. |
