Comparing and Contrasting Two Versions of the Same Story

Common Core Standard:
Compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story by diffrent authors or from different cultures.

Unit Essential Question:
How can readers use recounted details when comparing and contrasting different versions of a story while identifying points of view of characters?

Lesson Essential Question:
How can I use a graphic organizer to compare and contrast the same story from different cultures?

There are other versions of the story, as well.  Follow the links in the "conclusion" page to find other versions if you want students to read more than 2 versions.

I partnered students so 2 students were reading each story and could work with one another.  Another option is to have a group of 3 and each student read one story and share.
