Best Seller Book Tour

This web quest was designed for students grades 9 -12.  Many teenagers have taken road trips before and soon will have opportunities to be the drivers on their own exursions.  This exercise will orient the students to the importance of maps and driving directions and how planning and organization could mean the difference between getting there and getting lost.  They will develop several skills, using mapping software and calculating cost and actual mileage.  This will give a realistic portrayal of road travel and the various elements involved in planning a trip.  A short 'safety while travelling' primer could be included in the travel overview.
