I have been a Florida Keys vacationer for many years. I love the simplicity of life down there. It is the best island vacation you can get without leaving the US. There is so much history and uniqueness about this Florida destination... like being the home to the third largest coral reef system in the world. Additional Student/Teacher Information: The students will use Edublogs, an online blog, for their journals, Microsoft Powerpoint for their presentation, Microsoft Word for their written report and www.wix.com for the website extension project. Google Docs may be used as a replacement for Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. The website can be created using other website creation tools or programs. My goal was to have the students use a combination of Web 2.0 tools as well as the usual classroom software suites, like Microsoft Office.
