Intro: This webquest allows students to use various webpages in order to creatively chose animals based upon their assigned habitat, research those animals, create a venn diagram, and complete a summary. These tasks are carried out through the interactive use of an on-line game and a venn diagram generator. In the end the students will be able to correctly compare and contrast different animals from different habitats.


Grade Level: 3-5


Curriculum: Social Studies, Language Arts, and Science.

Process:

The teacher will turn on the computers and start the internet. The teacher will then go to the webpage to access the webquest. The teacher must also log into www.iknowthat.com/com/L3?Area=Habitats.  The teacher will then divide the students into groups of four and assign group titles to each. The teacher will also assign a job to each person in each group. The teacher will then dismiss the studetns to start the webquest. After the students have finished the webquest the teacher will score the papers that the teams turned in.
