Substances can be very harmful to the body especially if misused. For our understanding of substance abuse you will aid the teacher in constructing a concept definition map to see what you know and learn about substance abuse today. There are different types of substance abuse in which for this activity in group you will give three examples; tell what using substance abuse is like and then put together a definition exactly from the information given. Before beginning the lesson we will brainstorm to find out what we already know about substance abuse. Then listen to a poem on drug abuse and create their own.
