Task 1.  Learn about and be able to describe where hurricanes are "born".  What types of atmospheric conditions must be present in order for hurricanes to develop?

Task 2.  Learn about the Saffir-Simpson scale.  How is the scale useful in determining the strength and destructive power of an oncoming hurricane.

Task 3.  Learn about hurricane loss prevention.  What are steps that can be taken to avoid or minimize property damage from hurricanes?
