This is EPIC: the Journey of the Hero Through History

By completing the following tasks, you will demonstrate competency in your understanding of  the Epic Hero.

Task 1: Explore the Epic Hero

Students will explore resources on epic heroes throughout world literature. After reviewing all resources, students will futher research one epic hero of their choice.

In groups of 4, you will create an epic hero for the future. This hero must be based on the key traits and characteristics of epic heroes that we have examined in our webquest. You will write a minimum of 8 entries from the character's perspective, chronicling the experiences of the epic hero as he or she embarks on an epic journey.

Task 3: Epic Hero Story and Short Film

In this task, you will compose your own epic hero story based on the character that you created in Task 2.

In your groups, you will create a short film using Storytelling Alice, a computer graphics program for storytelling. You will create the film based on the diary created in Task 2.
