The Trial of the Scottsboro Boys

In the early 1930's several young black men were accused of raping two white women.  The young men and the women had hopped a train, but not together.  When the train came to a stop, the young women accused the men of rape.  This scenario is not altogether unlike what happened in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee which you have already read.  You will be deciding the similarities and differences between Tom Robinson's case in the novel and the Scottsboro Boys' case.  You will be using Chapters 18-20 in the novel for the comparison.  This WebQuest will be done in groups of 2-4 students.
