Media Literacy: Persuasive Techniques

Your goal is to work in groups of three to create a collage poster or PowerPoint presentation of each type of persuasive technique. After coming to an understanding of the various persuasive techniques, you will need to choose four techniques and find real examples of each of these in use and document them in your poster/PowerPoint.  In addition, you will need to provide an analysis of each technique by doing the following: explain the technique in each example you provide, identify the target audience, and tell how effective you think this technique was. You will present this poster/PowerPoint to the class. (You may use images from print magazines, online magazines, and even video clips of commercials. Just make sure that you provide bibliographic information for each example).
