Task One: An Essay with an Attitude

What place provides a higher quality of life for its citizens?

Students will research ancient Sparta or Athens. Collaboratively, students will write an essay persuading others that their city-state is the better of the two for its citizens.

Task Two: The Great Debate

Student teams will debate why they feel their city-state is a superior place to live.

Task Three: Think Globally, Act Internationally!

Research different citizenship organizations and create a poster that highlights how the organization is an example of ACTIVE citizenship.

Task Four: My Personal Meaning of Citizenship

Show what you know about citizenship!

Creatively show what citizenship means to you through an independent project.
